About Us
Jolly Posh is a family business run by three generations of the Giles family. The owner, Jenny, is a retired Art Teacher who taught at Sleaford High School for girls in Lincolnshire for 35 years. Her granddaughter Holly and her daughter-in-law Vicky help to run the shop, along with her daughter Libby. During Christmas, some years ago now, Libby hand crafted some Christmas cards to give out to family and friends and decided to put a name and date on the back, just to finish them off. Eventually, she decided to use a play on words on her own children’s names, Holly and Josh and came up with Jolly Posh.
In the years to follow, all the girls got busy, stitching, painting and drawing to make enough hand crafted items to sell at events such as village fetes, Christmas markets and the Lincolnshire Show.
In 2006, when Jenny retired from teaching, she announced that she would like to build a business based on beautiful hand crafted items and set out to source suppliers who, in her opinion, offered high quality, unusual items as well as some old favourites. |

The cliff edge Lincolnshire village of Navenby provided an excellent location for the shop, and on 25th May 2006 Jolly Posh opened its doors.
The family are delighted with their new web site and it is their intention to gradually build up an online shop for customers further afield. |
